About Camp RAE
Our Background:
Camp RAE was founded by Pee Dee residents who recognized a need for a summer program to provide therapy and educational interaction for non-mobile special needs children to replace the programs provided for them during the school months. Since no such programs of this type existed in the entire Pee Dee region,a group was formed in the Spring of 2009 to create Camp RAE.
The group received it's 501 (c) 3 status in December 2009 and began to work, organizing a Board, raising funds, gathering equipment, and seeking campers. Camp RAE welcomed it's first campers Monday, July 5, 2010.
Our Mission:
Camp Rae will improve the quality of life for children with multiple disabilities by providing comprehensive education and rehabilitation.
